AT SAN JOAQUIN DELTA COLLEGE

(Stockton, CA)

San Joaquin Delta College will host a series of presentations and educational workshops for Plagiarism Prevention Week (Sept. 17-21).  Delta College faculty from various disciplines will offer multiple sessions of interactive forum discussions. Topics addressed include, what plagiarism is, what happens when plagiarism occurs, how it affects students' grades, and tools, resources, and services available that empower students to prevent plagiarism. The library faculty will offer a series of workshops on the use of popular research tools and how to properly cite sources using major writing styles.

“Through such a campus-wide event,” says Dr. Jun Wang, Delta College’s Librarian and Chair of Plagiarism Prevention Ad-Hoc Committee, “we hope to heighten the awareness of plagiarism prevention at SJDC and help our students succeed in their college education.”
