DELTA COLLEGE HOSTS ITS POLICE ACADEMY GRADUATION AT ATHERTON AUDITORIUM, SATURDAY, SEPT. 22

San Joaquin Delta College will host its 26th Police Officers
Standards & Training “POST” Academy graduation this Saturday, 9:30am at Atherton Auditorium.
Cadets will hold a colorful full dress inspection from 9:15am to 9:30am in front of Atherton Auditorium. This year’s class has 47 cadets who completed the program, with 20 students already in uniform. Guest speaker for the ceremony will be San Joaquin County Sheriff Steve Moore.
Delta College’s “POST” Academy is a 9 month program designed to allow students to maintain employment while attending classes in the evenings and on weekends. The training offered prepares the students mentally and physically for the challenging job as a Police Reserve Officer, Deputy Sheriff or Peace Officer. On graduation, the student is eligible for employment in any law enforcement agency in California. The Delta College “POST” Academy has graduated hundreds of students who now work for law enforcement agencies throughout California.
