CAPITOL BALLET COMPANY PRESENTS THE HOLIDAY CLASSIC
“THE NUTCRACKER” AT ATHERTON AUDITORIUM
(Stockton)
The Capitol Ballet Company will present Tchaikovsky’s timeless holiday classic “The Nutcracker” at Delta College’s Atherton Auditorium. Performances are Friday, Dec. 14 at 7:30pm and Saturday, Dec. 15
at 2pm.
In what has become an annual Delta College holiday treat, the Capitol Ballet of Sacramento brings endearing characters to life as Clara takes her magical journey through the majestic Party Scene, Land of Snow and the Kingdom of Sweets. Whether you favor young Clara, Drosselmeyer’s mechanical doll, the Mouse King, or the Nutcracker himself, you will delight in this magical holiday ballet. Jennifer Harris of the Capitol Ballet says, “If you don’t have a favorite character, you will by the end of this year’s performance.”
Highlights of the show include guest dancers from Stockton’s Ballet School. “Children will want to attend the Sugar Plum Party following Saturday’s matinee,” adds Harris. “The party costs an addition $5, and each child will receive a special treat and a photo with the Sugar Plum Fairy.”
Capitol Ballet Company is a non-profit organization funded in part by the Sacramento Cultural Arts Awards Program of the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission. For questions or press photos, visit the Capitol Ballet Company at capitolballet.com
