Delta College Police Academy Graduate Sworn In as New Officer
(Stockton, CA, Wednesday, May 23, 2007)
Former student Daniele Ruley was sworn in today (5/23) as Delta College’s newest police officer. Delta College President and Superintendent, Dr. Raul Rodriguez, presided over the ceremony. Officer Ruley’s father, Yanik, had the honor of pinning on his daughter’s badge.
Growing up in Oakdale, Officer Ruley had varied interests. Hobbies include painting, sculpture and working with animals. Her devotion to “Working with people and a love
of challenging situations,” led to an interest in law enforcement. This career goal
eventually led Daniele Ruley to enroll in Delta College’s Police Officers Standards
and Training “POST” Academy. She graduated in October of 2005.
“I’m truly exited to be back at Delta College as a law enforcement officer,” says Ruley. “Delta’s POST Academy was the stepping stone in my career.”
Delta College Police Chief Marc Bromme says, “Officer Ruley is an example of the
quality of law enforcement officer Delta wants on its staff. She’s dedicated, a graduate
of Delta’s top-notch police academy, and has valuable experience as a Merced Sheriff’s Department reserve deputy.”
Officer Daniele Ruley joins Chief Bromme, 6 officers, 2 sergeants, 2 dispatchers, and
10 student service officers that make up Delta’s police department.
Officer Ruley finishes, “I look forward to making a difference!”
