DELTA COLLEGE PRESENTS “GEOGRAPHY CHALLENGE”
AT ATHERTON AUDITORIUM

November 11-17 has been designated by the U.S. Congress as “National Geography Awareness Week.” As part of this celebration, Delta College is sponsoring the 8th Annual Geography Challenge, Saturday (11/17) from 10am-Noon at Atherton Auditorium.
Delta’s best geography students will test their knowledge against top students from local high schools. Delta College geography instructor, Dr. Robin Lyons, encourages students and the general public to attend this FREE event. He promises an entertaining show. “You’ll have fun, while at the same time, test and stretch your knowledge of geography. In addition, we will show clips from recent popular movies that illustrate concepts in geography.”
Geography Challenge has become a popular annual event at Delta College. Through this year’s “Challenge” Lyons wants to develop the public’s general knowledge about geography. “Geography Challenge will illustrate how interesting and enjoyable the subject is.” Lyons adds with a smile, “You will become a geography enthusiast! Don’t miss it!”
