Liturgical Theme Underscores Lively Concert
(Stockton, CA) – The Delta Symphonic Wind Ensemble and the Stockton Concert Band directed by Mr. Arthur Holton, will present their final concert of the year on Thursday, May 18 at 7:30 p.m. in Warren Atherton Auditorium. The performance features a liturgical theme and includes Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in D. The grand finale is a lively performance of Adam Gorb’s Yiddish Dances. This wonderful piece is based on Klezmer dances (folk music of the Yiddish speaking people) and is very much a party piece. Tickets are $7.50 for adults and $5 for students and seniors.
Tickets are available now through the Delta Center for the Arts Box Office, 954-5110. The Box Office is open Tuesday – Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online: dca.deltacollege.edu. Phone and mail orders will be charged a $3 handling fee. Cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express cards are accepted.
