Delta College Trustees Vote on Highway 12 Land Purchase
(Stockton, CA) – In a 5-2 decision, the San Joaquin Delta College Board of Trustees voted December 5, 2006 to authorize Superintendent/President Raul Rodriguez to execute Real Estate Purchase and Sale Agreements and Joint Escrow Instructions with the property owners for the District’s purchase of approximately 114 acres of real property located between East Highway 12 and the Mokelumne River, east of Highway 99, in the Lodi area. The property owners are Larry, Lenore, Kurtis, Scott and Kris Nies; and Nhon and Lisa Vien.
The negotiated prices for the property are: $5,689,486.94 (APN 049-130-55), $1,135,109.40 (APN 049-130-18) and $800,000 (APNs 049-130-52 and 049-130-54).
In a separate decision, the board voted five-to-two to authorize the superintendent/president of Delta College to execute Real Estate Purchase and Sale Agreements and Joint Escrow Instructions with the property owners for the District’s purchase of approximately 4 acres of real property located between East Highway 12 and the Mokelumne River, east of Highway 99, in the Lodi area. The negotiated price for this property is $1,400,000.
The property is intended to be used as a Lodi educational center for San Joaquin Delta College.
