Get Jazzy with Jiggs Whigham
(Stockton, CA) – The Jazz Ensembles directed by Brian Kendrick and Mel Won will perform Wednesday, May 17, 2006 with acclaimed trombonist Jiggs Whigham. Jiggs is currently conductor of the BBC Big Band in Great Britain and artistic director of the Berlin Jazz Orchestra. He is active as a soloist, conductor and educator and is a clinician for the Conn-Selmer Company. His website is www.jiggswhigham.com. Tickets are $7.50 for adults and $5 for students/seniors. Performance is in Tillie Lewis Theatre at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are available now through the Delta Center for the Arts Box Office, 954-5110. The Box Office is open Tuesday – Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased online: dca.deltacollege.edu.
