Delta College Presents:
Dark of the Moon
(Stockton, CA) – Dark of the Moon is a compelling and frightening tragedy of backwoods superstition, forbidden love, and witchcraft set in the enigmatic Smoky Mountains, circa 1920. Inspired by the Ballad of Barbara Allen, and featuring the stirring and soulful music of the mountains, this haunting tale of Appalachian mythology is a classic of the American Theatre. This play is directed by Harvey T. Jordan, a member of the faculty at Delta College and the founder of the American Blues Theatre.
Show dates and times are as follows: February 24, 25 at 8pm and March 2, 3, 4 at 8pm and March 5 at 2 p.m. All performances are in the Studio Theatre at San Joaquin Delta College. Tickets are available now through the Delta Center for the Arts Box Office, 209-954-5110. The Box Office is open Tuesday – Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Phone/mail orders will be charged a $3 handling fee. Cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express cards will be accepted. Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for students and seniors, and children.
