San Joaquin Delta College
Board of Trustees Announce Annual Reorganization
(Stockton, CA) – On Tuesday, December 5, 2006, the San Joaquin Delta Community College District Board of Trustees held their annual organizational meeting.
During the meeting, three trustees were sworn into office. The Hon. Jose Alva, Superior Court of California, San Joaquin County swore in Trustee Janet Rivera and Trustee Maria Elena Serna. The Hon. Ronald A. Northup, Superior Court of California, San Joaquin County swore in Trustee Ted Simas.
In a separate action, Trustee Maria Elena Serna (Area 4, Lodi) was elected by the Board of Trustees to serve as president. Trustee Leo Burke (Area 2, Central Stockton) will serve as vice president, and Greg McCreary (Area 6, Tracy), will serve as clerk of the Board. All were approved with unanimous votes. In a separate motion, the Board appointed Superintendent/President of the College Dr. Raul Rodriguez to the position of Secretary to the Board and Assistant Superintendent/Vice President Della Condon to the position of Assistant Secretary in accordance with Board Policy 1100. Other board members include Anthony Bugarin (Area 1, South Stockton), Dan S. Parises (Area 5, North District), Janet Rivera (Area 3, Rural Stockton) and Ted Simas (Area 7, Manteca-Escalon).

Board meetings are held in the Board Room located in the Administration Building, Room 103, at San Joaquin Delta College, 5151 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, CA.
