Delta College Cultural Awareness Program Presents:
Victor Martinez
(Stockton, CA) – Author Victor Martinez, who relates his personal experiences of growing as a Mexican American in his recently published book, will talk about his life and writing his award-winning book in Delta College’s Atherton Auditorium on March 9, 2006 at 11 a.m. His book, Parrot in the Oven: mi vida, received a national book award. Martinez is a native of Fresno, the largest city in the San Joaquin Valley.
Pedro Ramirez, producer of the event, described Martinez’s book is a classic coming of age story. “It is written in a language never before expressed.”
