ENG 042A - Survey of American Literature - Units 3

Prerequisites: ENG-079 Preparatory English with a grade of "C" or better or Composition Level III.

Prerequisite Skills: 1. Reading Level II.

This course is designed as a study of the forms and ideas in early American literature with an emphasis on understanding the values and traditions which shape contemporary American thought (precolonial period through the Civil War). (UC, CSU, C-ID ENGL 130)
