San Joaquin Delta College Police Officers are sworn peace officers of the State of California and are vested with full law enforcement powers and responsibilities. They meet the selection and training requirements set forth by the Commission on Peace Officers Standards and Training under State of California Penal Code Section 13510(a).

In addition, the Police Department is staffed by non-sworn P.O.S.T Certified Dispatchers, Campus Safety Officers, and Student Service Officers.
