Physics, Associate in Science for TransferThis program is designed for students planning to transfer to a California State University (CSU) with a major in Physics. Physics is a fundamental science and the laws of physics govern the behavior of the world around us. Courses in physics provide students with an opportunity to gain a variety of important skills which are essential for success in today's workforce. These include critical thinking and problem solving skills, verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate and work effectively and responsibly as a member of a team. All of this is achieved within the context of gaining a thorough understanding of the fundamental laws of physics. Program Learning Outcomes

Students are advised to double-count courses in the major to also satisfy general education when possible. Course subject credit will be awarded in satisfaction of major and lower division general education requirements, but the units will only be counted once in computing the total number of units for the degree.
